Styled Shoot Workshop: Houston, TX

Well, it's official my first Styled Shoot Workshop has come and gone and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. 14 amazing ladies joined me on a Sunday afternoon to learn the ins and outs of styling and even got to create their own styled shoots during the hands-on portion of the day. Elisheva of Elisheva Golani Photography was there to speak about styled shoots from a photographers perspective and document some behind the scenes of the day. Natalie of House of Hough speaker to us about the use of linens and how to style those gorgeous napkins, sashes, runners, etc.

It really was a day full of learning and I am so grateful that these ladies trusted me to bring them an unforgettable experience. Attendees left with some swag bag goodies, lots of new information and some beautiful pictures for their portfolios.

Below are some pictures from Elisheva of how the day went down. At the bottom of this post is an amazing highlight video from Matt Trevino Photography, be sure to check it out! ENJOY :)

We set up what I called "The Prop Spot" which is where the attendees got to choose items they wanted to use in their own styled shoots. This area was filled with linen choices, invitations, china, jewelry, lots of wedding gowns, flowers, shoes, a wedding cake, etc. The list goes on and on....

After a few hours of classroom style learning, the ladies headed out to create their own styled shoots. I just love how each group took the same color palette and made such different looks!

I'm so thankful for the amazing ladies! Stay tuned, as their styled shoots get picked up for publication I will post the final outcome pictures from each of the attendees. Let me just tell you, THEY ROCK!

  1. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with extra information? It is extremely helpful for me. http://kapitalbg.com
